The first letter of each data line is the action code. In the case of responding to offers reply using one of the following action codes A, P or Z.
Action code A – Offer accepted, no further improvement required.
Action code P – Offer accepted, keep on waitlist for improvement.
Action code Z – Offer declined
- In case of new request, no slot will be allocated
- In case of change request, offer is cancelled and no change is made by the coordinator
Here is an offer sent by the coordinator, a response is required within 3 working days.

To respond first decide which action code to reply with, create the header, then copy the data line with the offer and replace the action code O with either A, P or Z.

In the case of a response using action code A or P, the coordinator will reply with action code K to confirm the change.
In the case of a response using action code Z, the coordinator will cancel the offer but will not reply.
NOTE: Action code Z cannot be used in response to offers on a SAL message.
